I don't know you, but I do know that you're awesome just for the simple fact that you play soccer, have played soccer, or love soccer! What is important is to not forget it yourself. Be mindful of how you chose to approach each day, each person, each game, and even yourself.
Have you ever tried stretching or yoga in the morning and clearing your head? Starting your day with the intention that you're going to be awesome can set the pace for a happy day instead of a chaotic stressed clumsy day. Only you get to choose how you're going to take on the day. Are you going to focus on the negative? We all have dirt in our lives, some more than others - okay some WAY more than others. I'm not dismissing the struggles we inherit with crazy family drama - it sucks! But I am suggesting one way to shelve that crap, at least for the few minutes of alone time in the morning you might be able to create, is to be quiet, lay down and stretch, try hard to turn off the negative noise in your brain (it's frickin' hard!!!) and make space in there to remind yourself you're a good person and you want to be around positive people and be kind to others and train your ass off! Just focus on yourself, your soccer, and your awesomeness. Don't forget!
